Little Buddies

Buddies is Woodchurch Road’s Extended School Club. It was founded in April 2012, the main objective is to provide care for children between the ages of 4 and 11 years.

OPENING TIMES 

Term Time sessions are as follows:                               Staff Training Day sessions are as follows:

Breakfast: 7.45am – 8.40am (school time)                                       Full Day 7.45am-6.00pm

After-School: 3.10pm-6.00pm                                                           

STAFF The club is run by a Senior Play Care Worker and Assistant Play Care Workers. We ensure that at all times there is a qualified first aider on site and all staff hold food hygiene certificates.

 

ARRIVAL AT CLUB

Buddies is based in the School House. There is a register of all children and parents are required to sign their children into the club. The children are escorted to their respective classes after the morning sessions are finished.

DAILY COLLECTION OF CHILDREN

At the end of the school day the children are brought to the club setting by their Teachers / Teaching Assistants.

ACTIVITIES The club provides a wide variety of activities including themed weeks, puzzles, arts and crafts, baking and games all of  which have both a fun element as well as an educational element. The club also has a wide range of outdoor activities in our enclosed playground which includes various sporting activities in the Multi Use Games Area. All of our children are encouraged to participate with our adult led games ; we pride ourselves on a friendly and caring approach. FOODS During the morning session we provide a healthy eating environment and offer foods such as a variety of cereal and toast. We also offer themed foods to fit in with our themed weeks as part of an activity.

 

ENVIRONMENT

Little Buddies is based in the school house and one room in the school. We provide a safe and welcoming environment in which our children can strive and grow with confidence.

BOOKING AND PRICES

We ask all parents/guardians to book their child’s place in advance so we can arrange the correct adult/child ratios.  Please fill in the booking form and bring it in as soon as possible.
