During the year we have 3 topics that we link to as many subjects as possible. This enables the children to make connections in their learning and to be creative.
We have made cross curricular links within these units and are making spider diagrams and webs in Art, learning about humans, animals and the life cycles in science, writing stories in Literacy and finding places on the maps in Geography.
Trips and Extra Curricular in School Learning
Maths – Given out Tuesday to be returned Thursday.
Literacy – Given out Thursday to be returned Monday
The children have P.E. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. They should have a suitable kit for both indoor and outdoor P.E. at all times.
Indoor P.E. - T-shirt, shorts, pumps.
Outdoor P.E. - T-shirt, shorts, pumps/trainers – wintertime tracksuit bottoms and sweatshirt if needed.
Punctuality/Attendance – Children should be in their class line for 8.48 am to be collected by their classteacher. Please ensure that your child is not late for school as they can miss importanat information given out at the start of the day. Regular attendance at school is important to ensure your child does not miss work covered because it is very difficult for your child to catch up on work missed.
