London Trip

Dear Parents/Carers

With our trip to London getting closer we are writing to let you know the final details.

Friday 16th March
5.15a.m. Pupils should arrive at the school house: fleeces will be given out
5.30a.m. promptly Leave Woodchurch Road Primary
6.45a.m. Arrive Cannock Services for a toilet break
(refreshments will be provided)
7.15a.m. Leave Cannock Services
10.15a.m Arrive in London
11.00a.m. Arrive at the Royal Albert Hall for tour
11.45a.m. Tour ends return to bus for lunch
12.25p.m. Return to Royal Albert Hall for concert
2.20p.m. Concert ends, return to bus for tour of London sights
(refreshments will be provided)
3.30p.m. Arrive at Houses of Parliament for tour
5.45p.m. Tour ends, go to bus for return journey
7.00p.m. Arrive at McDonalds at Beaconsfield Services
8.00p.m. Return to bus for final part of the journey
11.15p.m. Arrive back at Woodchurch Road Primary

All the above timings are approximate and please be aware delays can occur if traffic is heavy. If the trip is likely to return to school earlier or later than expected you will be notified using the emergency contact number you have provided.

Please ensure inhalers and other medication your child may need during this trip are given to a member of staff, clearly labelled with the attached form completed and signed. If your child suffers from travel sickness you may want to consider appropriate medication.
Children will need to bring a packed lunch, please use a bag which can be thrown away afterwards. It is important the children are dressed appropriately for the weather with waterproofs for showers. There will not be much opportunity for children to spend money but they may wish to bring a few pounds. Please ensure your child does not bring expensive items such as electronic equipment, phones etc.

We hope that all the children will have a memorable day visiting the Royal Albert Hall, the Houses of Parliament and seeing some of the famous sights London has to offer, you will be able to follow our progress, with photographs, via the school’s Twitter account @WoodchurchNews.
